I’m Kayla Ruedebusch — a competitive wakesurfer, wakeboarder, pro foil athlete, content creator, and the founder of KR Wake. I grew up in Wisconsin and started riding at just 5 years old, spending every summer on the lake and falling in love with the water. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a career built on progression, creativity, and pushing the limits in every discipline.
My journey hasn’t been perfect — I’ve faced setbacks, injuries, and moments that tested how badly I wanted this. But every comeback has made me stronger, more driven, and more committed to the sport I love.
From skim and surf to wakeboarding and foiling, I’ve built my life around chasing new challenges and sharing the joy of this sport with others. Today, I compete, coach, and create with one mission: to inspire the next generation of riders and grow the wake community.
